Happy wedding Rachel + Stefan!

This past Saturday I had the great pleasure of documenting Rachel + Stefan’s emotionally beautiful wedding story.

I met them as they were getting ready at the Providence Westin. Rachel sent over a gift to Stefan’s room, one of the items being the book ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’, which started some water works. And then Stefan sent a card to Rachel’s room, which got her teary eyed. Once Rachel got into her gorgeous gown, she knocked on her dad’s door to show him for the first time, and the happy tears started flowing and pretty much didn’t stop the whole day. (that includes me & my tears, too!)

Rachel and I headed to the Brown campus to meet Stefan so they could enjoy their first look and some fun images before their ceremony. I loved walking around the campus with them, hearing them recount the stories of when they were first dating, sharing some of their favorite spots & memories.

The Manning Chapel was the backdrop for their ceremony. There were quite a few more tears and one big surprise. Stefan surprised Rachel with a song he wrote, which he sung to her before they shared their vows. [insert a collective sigh here] It was wonderful!!

After that, everyone headed over to the Providence Art Club for their reception. What a fab place for a wedding! From the art on the walls, all the little nooks and crannies, the amazing food, the spot-on decor (thanks to Kristin Love of details with love & Christina of Flowers 539) and amazing dance moves (groovin’ music provided by Groove Authority), this party was outstandng!

Congrats Rachel + Stefan, your wedding was a good reminder of why I love love!!! Thank you!

Below is a collection of some of my favorites from your day, enjoy!

Ciao + Love,

Stacey D

I just looked at the blogmazing shots of Rachel and Steve’s wedding, and they are wonderful. I love them. I can’t wait to see all of them on the DVD. Love the shot of Rachel with the “one way” sign in the background, and how did you ever get a shot of the Irish hanky where R & S’s names were embroidered by one of my vendors? Fabulous photos. Terrific shots of the father-daughter dance too. Great wedding. Can’t wait to see the dance shots……we did a lot of dancing! Looking forward to the rest. THANK YOU! Eileen (mother of the bride).

  2. WOW!!!

This is ultra strong seeing – so may layers, such subtlety in expressions and personality captured with graceful and powerful compositions.
