Ah, Pawtucket RI, my hometown. Except for the number of years I lived over the border in Providence – *gasp* – Pawtucket has always been “home” to me.
It was so fun to see Shannon + Josh create a Pawtucket-style wedding: They’re fabulous invites & seating cards were designed using vintage postcards depicting scenes from Pawtucket’s heyday during the American Industrial Revolution. They had their twilight ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park nestled right next to Pawtucket’s City Hall. And then they celebrated the night away at the Hope Artiste Village (which is also home to my photo studio – I tell ya, the commute was brutal!).
Their first dance song is one I had never heard of: Rhode Island Redhead from Pawtucket by Teresa Brewer and I’m a full blown redheaded Pawtucketian (yea, so what I made that word up). Click to take a listen!
I was giddy over Shannon’s colorful & stunning dress, her fantastic hair piece and can we talk about her bouquet made from friend’s and family’s antique brooches – I died a little.
Not only was the wedding a visual delight, most importantly, you could feel how much everyone there cared for Shannon + Josh. This wedding was overflowing with love, and I was so grateful to be a part of it, documenting this great chapter of their story together.
Warm congrats to you both!! Below are a handful of some of my favorites from your day, enjoy 🙂
Ciao + Love,
