It is always so wonderful when past wedding couples contact me to photograph their next life stages.
For some, I may document them in their new home, or help create a headshot for their next career adventure.
For others, I get to document their new babies or their maternity session.
Melissa and Matt met me at Lincoln Woods during the Fall so we could capture Melissa’s baby bump surrounded by all the beautiful fall colors.
I’ve posted a handful of my favorites below.
I am so looking forward to capturing newborn images when the little one arrives.
Excited to meet her or him (they’re waiting until the big day to find out! I love that!)
Shawn + I had the pleasure of documenting Amy + Andrew’s wedding day recently.
Held at the gorgeous Warwick Country Club, the sun was shining, the laughter was bubbling and that Gettysburg College flag was a flowin’!
I’d write more however, Amy and Andrew said it best below:
“It was a magical day full of sunshine, laughter, music, moonlight and champagne at the Warwick Country Club!
Much thought and mindfulness went into our wedding celebration. We grew our own zinnia for the centerpieces on each table, Amy’s lavender bouquet,
and the rosemary sprigs worn by Andrew and his groomsmen in their East Boston community garden plot.
Our fathers constructed our wedding ceremony arch using wood from birch trees from Amy’s parents home.
A final touch included selecting one of two Saturdays in 2015 when there would be a full moon to shine bright over the special day.
We were married by a dear friend and surrounded by our closest relatives and friends all weekend.
“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”
― Nicole Krauss
I can’t say enough how much I love photographing proposals!
From the covert planning, the excitement & nerves leading up to the actual proposal, to all the gasps & happy tears (yup, some of those tears are mine!)
Seriously, though, I love that couples want such an intimate moment captured.
Most couples, after their proposal, tend to say over & over ‘Wow, I can’t believe this is happening! It doesn’t feel real!’.
I’m sure it must feel like a big blur, the details fuzzy.
I’m glad they have their images to look at and remember the excitement, the glee, the surprise & the love.
Congratulations Nicole & Frank on your engagement! I loved how absolutely giddy you both were that day, so full of happiness & joy!
Here are a handful of my favorites from your proposal, enjoy!
Patsy set the stage for an inviting & bright backyard soiree. Holly whipped up some super delicious and very attractive dishes. And Laura’s cocktail recipes were a not only a beautiful addition but also so lovely to sip!
You can see a few of my favorites from the shoot below.
And make sure to click the Lady Project Summer Guide 2015 link to see the full article, grab Holly & Laura’s recipes and Patsy’s tips on planning your own backyard party.
The guide also has a really great beach guide, a summer playlist and a gorgeous road-trip inspired fashion spread!
I’m big into surprises, especially when I’m in on it!
Anish gave me a call about a month ago to let me in on the plans he had to surprise Shivani & propose to her.
He chose a great spot over looking the Providence River & surrounded by the PVD city scape.
The morning was perfectly beautiful! Warm sun, a great breeze, and definitely lots of love in the air <3
I pretended to be a tourist photographing the sites, as Anish lead Shivani to his planned location.
He dropped to one knee and, well, you can see the rest unfold below!
Shivani was so surprised! I loved watching her happy amazement at Anish pulling off his grand surprise!
I love traveling for weddings and I really really love elopements.
And this wedding had both of those elements. Therefore I was pretty darn full of love already.
However, what I truly loved more about this wedding was – I gained a sister 😉 That’s right, my brother got married!
Ryan + Ariel decided to elope under the gorgeous trees at Evergreen Lodge which borders the woods of Yosemite National Park.
Their daughter, my beautiful niece, was their wedding party.
And let me tell you, she brought the party!
While Ryan + Ariel recited their touching vows to one another, Arya climbed over tree trunks; while they exchanged their tokens to one another, Arya played with sticks.
Arya told her mommy that she looked like a cloud *heart melts*
I adore that they exchanged personal tokens in lieu of rings. So touching and intimate.
Arya was pretty much on cuteness overload the whole time. I may be a wee bit biased 😉 #inappropriaunt
After the ceremony, some of us took a nap followed by a playground break.
Then we all piled into the car to head into Yosemite Valley to capture some images of the Doyle Family surrounded by some breathtaking backdrops.
Their reception was off the hook! Lots of sippy cups were downed that evening 😛
