Teams!
Let’s talk about how to capture you and your team for your website and social media.
Lately, I’ve been working with a lot of private firms, from law to finance and insurance.
And in each scenario these are definite must-have images:
1. Headshots!
Whether they’re outdoors, inside against a solid studio backdrop or using the interior of your offices, a solid headshot for every member of your team is key.
Why? Your clients want to know who they’re working with.
Even if you are mostly a virtual business, these days Zoom calls mean you are going to end up seeing one another live at some point.
And when your clients see you, they’re going to want to recognize you from your headshot.
Don’t look like your headshot?
That could be a problem.
Without really knowing quite why, a client may back out of a deal with you and your business if they feel like something was “off”.
Sure you can slap a selfie into your ABOUT page (quite unprofessional) or (please god no) an AI headshot –
but everyone knows these are bottom-shelf options.
If clients think you’re taking the cheap way out – guess what?
They’ll think you’re going to do that in every aspect of your business.
Invest in your images.
Style differences are fine. But quality?
Quality differences will show.
Show them you truly mean business and make that solid investment in professional, clean images.
2. Team Photo!
It doesn’t have to be super stiff or look like a high school prom photo (or maybe it does if that’s your thing!
Could be fun!).
You want to show clients that you’re invested in each other.
Which will speak volumes to potential clients.
What does a team photo show?
Who you are. Together.
It shows that everyone on your team is important.
That everyone matters.
Which, for potential clients, means to them that they’ll matter to you, too.
And that maybe they too can view your team as an extension of their own.
That is a major connection to make with potential clients.
It will set you apart from all others!
3 Custom Stock Images!
These are some of my favs to create w clients.
Sure, they’re staged.
But who cares, they’re YOU.
It’s not some boring stock image that anyone anywhere could also use
(A not-so-awesome idea because people use reverse photo searches and can tell you’re using stock images. No bueno).
Creating custom stock images of you and your team is another way to show authenticity in your business.
To show that you’re invested not only in each other but also in your potential clients.
The big and the small, it all matters when you’re investing in your business.
Because when you invest in your business, you’re also investing in your clients and your client’s experience.
Be real. Be authentic. Be You.
