Some work I did recently for the amazing Tenfold Senior Living Management Company.
I spent the day at their Prairie City Landing Communities and documented a day-in-the-life to showcase how residents choose to spend their days.
You know, you hear stories about senior facilities and I’m here to tell you the story of PCL: the moment I walked inside, I immediately felt welcomed.
Smiling faces everywhere and not in that forced or fake way.
Senior level people stopping to say “Hi!” to residents and ask how they are and actually stopping to listen.
As I walked through the halls of this gorgeous and spacious apartment building, you could see the unique touches each resident added to their front areas – a cute wreath, a water feature, a goose statue dressed up for the holidays.
A place that allows everyone’s personalities to shine.
The spaces felt warm and comfortable, like a home should feel.
And as I said, staff from all levels, were kind, happy and always willing to lend a hand. And everyone knew not only resident’s names but personal anecdotes about each.
They joked and laughed, hugged, and encouraged.
The place they’ve built here, not the building itself, but the community, is what really stuck with me. I realized if I ever had to find a place for a loved one (or myself!) PCL would be top on my list.
Also, their dining room and restaurant services were beautiful. The food looked absolutely amazing and I can’t tell you how many residents said I should sit and eat (and the staff said they’d make me a plate!).
Absolute care. Hands down, highly recommend if you are in the Folsom CA area and looking to find a place for your loved one.
And aren’t all the models for the day absolutely adorable? These are actual residents doing things they typically do during their days.
Seriously, I can’t wait to go back and create some more with all of these fabulous folks!
